The Origin Story - How EE Coffee Co. Started

Hey, I’m Alexander — founder, lead roaster, and resident coffee adventurer behind Engineering Energy Coffee Co, a small-batch coffee roaster based in The Woodlands, Spring, Tomball TX area.

From Engineer to Roaster
By day, I’m an engineer — a problem solver who thrives on precision, strategy, and crafting the perfect build. By night (and sometimes day), I’m a gamer who knows how video games build communities where players connect, strategize, and level up together. Coffee is the real-world power-up that fuels these connections — the shared ritual that brings people together, whether around a controller or a morning mug.

The Coffee Quest Begins
My roasting journey started during the COVID pandemic. With coffee shops closed, I rolled the dice and started roasting beans at home. What began as a simple caffeine hack quickly turned into a full-on passion quest. Now, every batch I roast is like a finely tuned game level, crafted with care — blending heat, time, and technique to unlock the best flavors.

Engineering Energy in Every Cup
The name Engineering Energy Coffee Co reflects both sides of who I am: the structured, detail-driven engineer and the curious, creative coffee lover. Over the past three years, I’ve refined my roasting craft, treating every batch as an experiment in flavor, precision, and creativity.

Global Inspiration, Local Roasts
Traveling across the U.S. and the world has deepened my appreciation for coffee’s variety and complexity, inspiring the diverse origins I bring into my roasting. At EE Coffee, you’ll find a rotating selection of fresh-roasted, small-batch beans from across the globe, available at farmers markets around Houston, TX, and shipped anywhere in the state.

Thanks for stopping by this checkpoint in your coffee journey! Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned player in the specialty coffee world, I hope my brews power up your day with bold flavor and community vibes.
